I am third year PhD student. My project is part of the EuroNeurotrophin Innovative Training Network, and it aims at building a cell model of the human blood brain barrier (BBB) by using pluripotent stem cell derived from ALS patients. One of the characteristics of ALS is a dysfunctional BBB, so with this research we present a cellular model to explore potential therapies for the disease.
